SONIA E BARRETT

Is it a strategy of belonging to find Oshun's smile in an English Forest?

Witness the geographical slippage between Caribbean and English wooded landscapes and encounter the smile of a distantly remembered goddess of the African Diaspora.

Meet some of the musical artists that channel Oshun's energy and glimpse some of a lockdown walk in a way that favours sound not sight.

CAGE

This year, in collaboration with writer and academic Alexandra Moore, they have watched the video again together, opening up conversations spanning land ownership, collaboration, feminism, race, and trauma.
